Normally I would place videos in the dedicated section, but this video will really open your eyes. Making money online has been one of the growing markets that most people are unaware of. There are literally countless ways to make money online from affiliate marketing to eBay drop shipping to domain flipping. David Heinemeier Hansson, creator of Ruby On Rails, has given this great speech at Startup School 08 about how to really make money online. Check it out!

We live in desperate times where desparate measures are made. With so many job losses occuring, people are scrambling to find some sort of income. Many have no doubt come across an online scam dealing with Google jobs. These things go by several names such as “Google Cash Kit” or  “Google Money System.” It appears to be very easy by posting links on Google from home at your convenience. This scam, however, is not affiliated with Google at all. Because Google is such a well known brand, many people are quick to assume that it is legitimate. The testimonials often seem legit with fake personal stories and fake check images. They even mention that you won’t become a millionaire but will be able to make a few thousand dollars a month. All these testimonials are from fake blogs and/or news articles. It appears legit so that you think you could even do it. In fact, Google has banned all advertisers running these promotions and the FTC has been cracking down hard on publishers. The only one making money with these are the publishers and advertisers. Most people never look at the fine print to realize that they must pay for shipping only which is usually under $5. However, after the first month they will be rebilled at $30+ dollars. They often do not have proper contact information so cancelling your subscription is close to impossible forcing you to go to your credit card company. Since Google does not want their image to suffer, it has put forth much effort to shut down all advertisers. Now all advertisers have done is renamed their scam with Twitter or Yahoo. So be smart and when things seem too good to be true, they usually are.

We discussed ways you can get money without a job, and here comes one more way for you to start making money. Six years ago, many people made a killing in real estate and since the recession we have seen only the best survive. A new era of foreclosures and short sales came about and once again proved that real estate never dies but simply slows down.

We sometimes fear what we don’t know, especially when buying a used car. What if its been in an accident, what if it was abused, what if it had numerous problems and the owner just dumped it? These are all questions that usually keeps people away from buying a used car and rather makes them pay more money for a new one. There are ways however one can educate themselves on a particular vehicle and save themselves money.

Most of you have guessed it, the first step is the more mainstreamed one and the most famous: CARFAX. It is well known that CARFAX has set itself as the leader in automotive report but there are some things you should know about CARFAX.

• It does not know everything
• It doesn’t always know about smaller fender benders
• It wont always know about service records
• Ownership is not always accurate

Those are simply some small flaws that the system has but are no biggie, as there are other ways besides CARFAX that you can educate yourself on your next purchase. AUTO CHECK is well know for catching the small items that CARFAX sometime misses and is a good addition to your reporting.

The final steps you should take is obtaining the service records for the car by simply calling the dealership (any of the same make), giving them the VIN and understanding the previous owner’s commitment to maintaining his car. Once that has been established, simply visually inspect the vehicle to make sure no panels were repainted; look for screws and bolts having been removed and replaced around the inside of the fenders and bumper by opening the hood and trunk areas, also look for aligned doors and panels.

We discussed in our previous posts a few labor intensive ideas that were geared closer to teenagers and folks that do not have a relatively large amount of experience. What if you have been working for a while and feel like your time is worth more than mowing lawns or finding cute ways to make 10-15 an hour.

This next segment is for you then, you have worked in most cases in the same 2-3 fields your entire life and posses a ton of knowledge in your field, you find it easy to guide others in doing what you do and usually think other companies are running way behind in efficiency.
